ROADMAP

The Rezarus Roadmap is where we share what is coming next for the game. It is split into three parts: short-term developments we are actively working on, long-term developments planned further out, and conceptual ideas we are exploring that may or may not ever make it into the game. Plans can shift as development progresses and as we gather community feedback, so think of this page as a living snapshot rather than a fixed promise.

Short-Term Developments

Features and fixes we are actively working on and expect to land in the near future (1–2 months).

Laser Wars Assist System

In Progress

Borrowing from Phoenix Wars, score will be awarded for contributing to a kill rather than only landing the final shot. Rewarding the whole effort encourages tighter teamwork and focused fire, and removes the all-or-nothing frustration that newcomers feel when their damage goes unscored. Kill credit will still go to whoever lands the finishing shot, but those who contribute will still be rewarded with assist scores.

Rezarus Subscription & Rez Token Accumulation

A key part of moving from Early Access to full release. We are getting the subscription and Rez Token systems up and running so players can start earning and spending.

Long-Term Developments

Larger initiatives planned further out. These are committed directions for the game, but with a longer timeline (2–6 months).

Virtual Store

Planned

Down the line, the Rez Tokens you accumulate will go toward a virtual store where you can spend them on cosmetics for your tank — giving every player a way to make their tank look unique and personable. Tokens will also unlock fun add-ons like horns, lighting effects, and more. Beyond cosmetics, tokens will offer an alternative path to some of the perks tied to the subscription model, letting players make one-time purchases that bypass certain account restrictions. This is one of our larger projects, as it depends on a new set of tank models — so those models will arrive first, with the store following once they are in place.

Visual Markers for Coordination

Planned

A set of on-arena visual markers that let players HUD-mark intentions to their team — pinning objective locations, marking a position to hold, or tagging an enemy to focus fire on. This would be only available to higher-ranked players, providing them a quick, language-free way to direct teammates during battle. With the right commander, a scattered group of newbs could quickly turn into a coordinated unit.

Missile Mayhem

Planned

Those who were around in 2024 may remember this one: 10-bay Leopards with access to every missile and special module, battling it out in the Silicon Fortress arena — with one wild caveat: the floor was lava. It was an absolute blast of pure chaos. The mode was removed so we could focus on the base modes, so while it is gone it is not forgotten. Now that the base missile modes are pretty much complete, Missile Mayhem is due to return one day, complete with its own stat row too.

Conceptual Ideas

Ideas we are exploring that are still purely conceptual. These are not committed to development and may or may not ever make it into the game.

Rogue Tank Mode

Concept

The ability to join an arena without choosing a team color. As a rogue tank, your color will be dark/black, and you will have no friendlies — everyone is a foe, even other rogues. Rogues will be rewarded with a points booster to match the risk. This mode would only be available to experienced players, unlocking only once you reach the Master Sergeant rank in that game moden — only those qualified enough would be allowed in as rouges.

King of the Pad

Concept

A special Missile and Laser Wars mode where one random pad in the arena turns orange. Playing in close proximity to this pad will grant a massive passive scoring bonus — making it well worth braving the chaos that is sure to erupt around it.
