Rezarus Offline: Continued Development of Human-Like Phoenix Wars Bots with Claude Fable - Week 2

This video shows an early preview of Rezarus Offline, with gameplay showing deterministic bots developed with the assistance of AI tools such as Fable and GPT. To be clear: Rezarus was built mostly without AI from 2023-2026. AI tools have are now being used to help develop game bots.

The gameplay shown is now an update of the initial offline prototype of phoenix wars, showing myself participating in a match with bots, behaving human-like in their decision-making processes, and even player chat. In this week's work, we've improved upon their player-like tendencies: less clustering, more flying, and even some pad camping/sitting.

Impulse Wars hasn't been touched in over 2 weeks, and I've noticed some regressions in it as seen in the video. This is not unexpected or too surprising: the work on phoenix wars has seen a lot of new code introduced - some of which now also applies to Impulse Wars. So we'll need to spend another week or so dealing with these regressions.

Aside from that, plans to begin work on a network layer for these bots in parallel are discussed as well.

Overall, the AI bot effort has been ongoing for ~6 weeks now (Impulse & Phoenix Wars). Phoenix Wars being now ~2 weeks of those.

The long-term objective here is far more ambitious with the goal to simulate the online environment entirely offline, from player lobbies, behavior, decision-making, and matches that all resemble that of the multiplayer game, so that the problem of attracting and retaining players for a game that requires constant action to enjoy, is solved!

Rezarus Offline is a completely separate project from Rezarus, and will be available on Steam in the coming months.
